“My first impression of 100 Braid Street Studios: a peaceful, happy, energizing almost sacred space has proven to be correct! A dream come true! After many years of working alone, this shared creative space works perfectly for me — stimulating and supportive.”

art studio rental100 Braid St Studios is a co-working art studio for New Westminster and Lower Mainland artists looking for an art studio rental that allows visitors to be inspired and to learn from the artists practicing in the studio.  We are a non-traditional gallery/studio business model and serve as an incubator for artists in transition or for established artists who wish to reach major career goals.  The 100 Braid St building is the last standing piece of the BC Distillery owned by William Braid and later by the Reifel family. It was built in 1929 for the cost of $100,000 as a place to produce Silk Hat bottled cocktails and fancy wines and to supply the US with alcohol during the prohibition.

If you apply for an art studio rental, are accepted into the studio & sign our one year contract before September 1, 2018 you will receive a bonus:

1 Free Pop Up Art show in the Gallery between October 2018-December 2019 (value $950 + GST)
An individual membership to the New Westminster Arts Council (value $20)
