Artist Statement

In all of my artwork I wish to affirm an embodied approach to art-making, and an investment in upholding values of impermanence, contingency, adaptability, empathy, and vulnerability.

In my current project I seek to honour day-to-day practices of domestic and emotional labour, by engaging my grandmother’s archive of photographs — particularly her photographs of non-human subjects, including houseplants, cut flowers, snow drifts, and wild animals.
