Yes. All artists who had studios at the original 100 Braid St building received mentorship & assistance from owner Susan L. Greig. Sometimes she would match artists with outside mentors or match several people within the community into creative group masterminds.

Everything that was learned during the eight years of the community and Susan's years of experience prior to the studio working with artists of all kinds will be brought to our new virtual online community. Depending on the level of an artists involvement with the community they can participate from one to three group creative mentorship/mastermind meetings per month. Members will also be able to benefit from the experience of other artists in the groups, creative industry and business professionals.

Printed on metal, "It really is" is a poignant Glitch Art piece with a strong message by @dizzmcgruber Dizz became a founding member of the Braid St community in 2018. Owner & founder @susanlgreigart had noticed a piece called "The Thing" on Instagram and was curious about glitch art but never reached out. One day Dizz came into the studio to inquire about an art studio and Susan recognized him, his work and what a dedicated and passionate artist he was. He has grown to become an integral and valued part of the community, taking on leadership and curatorial roles for the UnderExposed Photography show in 2019 for the @capturephotofest and more recently as one of the assistant curators for the Braid St Studios Pop Up Art Show.

It's probably easier to ask what kind of artists are not part of the Braid St arts community. In our original brick and mortor studio we had resident artists who worked in: oil & acrylic painters, artists who worked in resin, all kinds of textiles, reclaimed wood, charcoal, mixed media, jewelry & metalsmithing, digital art and photography. There were puppet makers, sculptors, musicians, performance artists, writers, acapella singers, songwriters and more. Now that we are going online we are even more diverse! The most amazing part of our community has always been the relationships, synergies and collaborations that happen because of that diversity.

Art is Art... and if you are an artist of any kind you are welcome in our community. Watch for updates and our launch....coming soon.
