The 100 Braid St building is the sole surviving structure of the BC Distillery. We’ll be turning the studio back to 1929 and you’ll need not only a ticket but a password to get into our event (you’ll receive it at the door). We are delighted to partner with City Archivist Barry Dykes and local historian Jason Vanderhill to bring a unique & fun exploration of drink in New West & Sapperton history.
Barry will provide an archivist’s insights into the exhibition “Bottoms Up: The Cultures of Drink in the Royal City,” currently on show at the New West Museum (Anvil Centre). After his presentation, Jason Vanderhill will expand upon the history of the BC Distillery in New Westminster. You might even get to meet first-hand some famous faces in the Distillery’s past.
And what would an evening about drink be without the drink? We are so excited to have Central City Brewers whiskey on hand for a taste testing.
You do not want to miss this event! And if you attend and dress up in the spirit of the prohibition we’ll put your name in a draw for a Paint & Sip Night for two courtesy of 100 Braid St Studios.
